Fly Air started its operations in 2002 organizing special charter and scheduled flights for destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the domestic market. In a short period of time in Turkey, Fly Air received a deserved reputation among the locally financed private airlines by reaching its service quality target and increasing the number of destinations, personnel and fleet.
With its motto “Your address in the sky”, the main aim of Fly Air’s service excellence vision is to make its passenger’s feel at home by providing a safe and comfortable flight with very competitive low fares.
Our fleet
We are planning to provide service for nearly one and a half million passengers for 2005 with our fleet of 13 aircraft consisting of seven Airbus A300-B2/B4, one Boeing 737-300, two MD-83 and three Embraer EMB-145EP. We lease aircraft for long term from different airlines according to market demand.
International
Destinations
With continuously increasing number of international destinations, we fly to Netherland, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Iran, Israel, Armenia, Republic of Northern Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Serbia and Macedonia. During 2004-2005 Hadj season, Fly Air operated five of its aircraft on behalf of Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Scheduled Domestic
Flights
After a long period, Fly Air opened a new era and became the first private airline in Turkey to commence scheduled domestic flights. Our operations started with Istanbul-Trabzon flight in October 2003, followed by Ankara-Trabzon operations. Now we are operating scheduled flights from Istanbul to Adana, Antalya, Bodrum, İzmir, Trabzon and from Ankara to Trabzon.
Flight
Personnel
Fly Air Flight Management Group comprises of flight crew, dispatch and office personnel. Our pilots are trained by competent instructors in compliance with JAA standards in B737-300 flight simulator training courses at the Turkish Airlines Training Center in İstanbul and Airbus A300-B2/B4 courses in Belgium. Under the supervision of the flight crew, our technically well equipped dispatch group performs its flight operations in a professional manner. The cabin crew with glimmer in their eyes and smile in their face, is the welcoming sign of providing you the comfort of your home. In line with company rules and regulations, the cabin crew is trained to handle the emergency situations, first aid and passenger psychology in order to provide our passengers with the best service available.
Quality Department
Fly Air is obliged to provide a system ensuring the adherence to the rules and regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) and Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The yearly Quality Audit Program performed by our Quality Department is dedicated to respond to the needs and requirements of our customers and eliminate all conditions that would impact flight security. Our ongoing Quality Assurance functions are provided by experienced personnel who are trained at international standards.
Technical Services
Equipped with JAR-145 Maintenance Certificate, Fly Air Technical Department develops the program and manages the maintenance of its Airbus and Boeing aircraft fleet and has adequate facilities and spare parts stocks to undertake these obligations. Our technicians and engineers are periodically trained and posses all international licenses certified by professional authorities worldwide. Fly Air Engineering department is continuously in contact with the civil aviation authorities and the manufacturers of Boeing and Airbus aircraft in order to implement the changes and the compulsory controls.
Around the clock, our staff provides all maintenance activities including troubleshooting/correction up to C-check, from our main base in Istanbul and Antalya, Ankara, İzmir, Amsterdam, Brussels using millions of dollars of spare parts and equipment in our stock.
C-check and higher level maintenance of Fly Air fleet is performed by Turkish Airlines (THY), MNG Technic, PIA Engineering & Maintenance Sogerma, ASL and other maintenance centers with JAR-145 or EASA.145 license and engine maintenance is performed by THY, PIA, GE, Air France and MTU.

With our Airbus A300-B2/B4 fleet, we offer competitive prices and quick services, for a wide range of cargo services from cars to live animals, fresh flower to fruit and vegetables, textiles, leather garments, machinery, sea products to destinations like Holland and Belgium.
